Your next role
As Capex Business Partner, you will be the primary internal contact for the Investment Programme Management team on all financial matters relating to the capital investment portfolio.
In this newly created role within the Investment Programme Management function, you’ll be part of an expert team that evaluates whether the business’ asset investment plans are optimised, working with key internal stakeholders to ensure the company’s capital investment plans deliver the optimal balance of cost, risk and performance while remaining within our capex allowance.
What you’ll be doing
You will ensure that the senior management team and all Capex spend areas of the business are provided with relevant and timely Finance support in every aspect of business analysis. You will support monthly cost reporting, investigate accruals, analyse monthly results, and lead the capex annual budget setting and quarterly review and reforecast process.
In this highly visible role, you’ll provide summary financial reporting to the Head of Investment Programme Management and the Investment Committee to aid capital investment decision making, whilst supporting the wider delivery community with cost reporting and forecasting.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of the capex portfolio and play a key part in the preparation of Affinity Water’s regulatory business plans.
What you’ll need
You’ll be educated to degree level in an accounting or finance related discipline. Substantial experience in a similar financial business partner role within a regulated industry is essential, and you’ll have demonstrable experience in financial management, analysis and use of tools to interrogate data.
You’ll be an analytical problem solver who’s not afraid to challenge stakeholders where required and use your excellent negotiation and influencing skills to achieve key outcomes.
