We are looking for a PR24 Strategic Asset Manager to help define our investment programme for the period 2025-2030. This is a pivotal role for our business as you’ll be responsible for coordinating expenditure planning across portfolio groups and the development of strategies to meet regulatory, business and customer outcomes for 2030 in alignment with our emerging 25-year asset strategies. This work will balance cost, risk and performance as we face in to critical issues like achieving net zero carbon emissions, adapt to climate change and make our service more resilient.
You will gain a detailed understanding of our strategic ambitions and work with our senior management team to agree the expenditure impact for each portfolio. You’ll also categorise the expenditure into the relevant Ofwat reporting data structures, responding to regulatory queries as required.
You will be a critical connection between our asset strategy and regulatory teams, responsible for interpreting how the emerging PR24 methodology needs to be accounted for in our approach to developing our investment programme. This will include supporting stakeholders across the business to develop plans that best meet the needs of our customers and are supported by compelling evidence.
What you’ll need
You will need a strong understanding of asset planning and of the price review process, including approaches to expenditure planning across portfolio groups and successfully justifying these to financial regulators. You will therefore need experience working in regulated industries and creating investment plans subject to regulatory scrutiny.
You will have experience of successfully working with a wide range of stakeholders across a business simultaneously, pulling together input from a range of sources to develop equitable solutions that balance a range of needs.
