When you join the Control Operations Centre at Affinity Water, you’ll be part of a team that ensures the effective operation of the water network and business continuity, 24/7.
As Asset Optimisation (Low Pressure) Lead, you will be accountable for the identification, investigation, resolution and reporting of low pressure incidents, as well as improving our asset optimisation processes.
The role
In this highly visible leadership role, you will work closely with teams across the business including the Network Control Desk, Regional Production and Community Operations, Hydraulic Modelling, Capital Delivery and Regulation teams, providing direction to these stakeholder groups on all matters relating to low pressure, whilst ensuring that low pressure incidents are progressed according to the Asset Standards.
Using a range of information sources, you’ll assess the cost, benefit and risk of identified solutions and support delivery teams with the implementation of solution programmes, ensuring project deliverables are met in line with cost, time, budget and quality requirements.
You’ll also take the lead on management reporting, using data to communicate progress and highlight risks and mitigation actions. You’ll ensure all reporting is in line with our Performance Commitment requirements.
What you’ll need
Experience within the water industry is advantageous as you’ll bring with you an understanding of hydraulics and water networks. You’ll have a definite technical bias and thrive in a data-driven environment.
Using your exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, you'll be able to influence and motivate others, driving a credible, open, and high performing culture. You’ll also have excellent team leadership skills as you’ll manage a team of 2-3 direct reports.
You will need a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle to travel between sites and offices.
