We are looking for a driven and motivated individual to join our team to support in the delivery of our ambitious plans to enhance the natural environment across our supply area. This Assistant Project Manager role works within the River Restoration team which sits in our Asset Management department.
This role within the team will support us to deliver against our environmental commitments for River Restoration. The role is both office and field based and will involve travel within our Central, Southeast and East regions.
As Assistant Project Manager, you will be supporting and leading on the delivery of multi-disciplinary projects within our River Restoration programme, whilst having strong links into our Environmental planning, and a host of other teams across the business. You will be acting as the focal point for day-to-day communication with our framework delivery partners, fostering a spirit of collaboration throughout. You will be supporting the project management of several environmental enhancement projects enhancing the condition of chalk streams across our supply area. You will also be promoting the Affinity Water River Restoration programme to a wider audience including reporting to our regulator on progress, monitoring data and findings.
You will ideally come from an environmental background or have a strong interest in hydro ecology/hydrology/hydrogeomorphology and/or chalk river restoration. You will have a good understanding of the project management lifecycle and principles, preferably with experience of delivering projects within the utilities industry.
You will be a highly motivated self-starter, able to work on their own as well as part of a team with good stakeholder and communication skills. You will be methodical and able to plan and organise your workload alongside the ability to planning self-check and to produce high quality and accurate work. You will also have the ability to use a range of IT software products, including MS Office.
Please note that as there is an occupational requirement to drive to site on occasion, you will need a full UK driving licence for the role.
