We are looking for an Environmental Projects Officer on a 6 to 8 week summer placement basis.
In the role, you will work alongside our Water Resources & Environment team to collate information to update our flood risk assessments. You will be collating and analyzing data from both internal and external sources to ensure we have the latest flood risk maps and information. You will produce a report at the end of your placement summarising the review.
We are looking for somebody with excellent organisational and communication skills who is also ideally familiar with interpreting spatial information from maps. Experience of using ArcGIS or equivalent would also be desirable. We are looking for somebody with the ability to quickly build and develop relationships with a range of stakeholders will be helpful when liaising with a range of internal and external sources e.g. Environment Agency. While not crucial to the role, somebody who is studying towards an environmental degree would be advantageous.
