Affinity Water have an excellent opportunity available to join our Customer Delivery Team as a Regional Operations Manager (ROM) in our Rickmansworth Area.
The role:
As a Regional Operations Manager you will manage a team of Customer Service Technicians to ensure that water networks are stewarded, customers are served, and water quality is preserved at all times.
You will be accountable for network performance in your area, leading on network-driven work in the community and ensuring planned network-driven outcomes are achieved. You’ll strive to meet these targets whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, efficiency and customer service.
By providing visible leadership to your team, you’ll help to drive a high performing culture, developing team capability to deliver an excellent service that exceeds customer expectations.
In this highly visible role, you’ll work collaboratively with teams and stakeholders across the business including Planning, Network and the Operational Service Desk to champion the network, leading the drive for operational excellence and improved network performance.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead network-driven activities within our community through a team of Customer Service Technicians to achieve the highest standards of safety, quality, efficiency and customer service. Develop team capability to safely deliver cost-efficient service to meet customer expectations.
- Experience within the water industry is essential as you’ll bring with you an understanding of hydraulics and the network design and operation. You’ll also have an understanding of water quality and water regulations.
- Using your exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, you'll be able to influence and motivate others. You’ll also have excellent team leadership skills as you’ll manage a team of direct reports.
- Ensure performance against internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Work closely with the Planning, Network and OSD teams.
What you'll need:
- Understanding Street works legislation.
- IOSH qualification.
- Understanding of Water regulations and remediation requirements.
- Previous experience of Stakeholder engagement.
- Competent in Microsoft Office packages.
- Full/clean manual UK driving licence.

- Hours of work: 08:00am - 16:00pm (Mon- Thurs) 08:00am - 15:30pm (Fri)
