Affinity Water has a opportunity to work along side our DX Operations Manager as a New Mains Lead.
The Role:
The New Mains Lead at Affinity Water plays a pivotal role in the successful delivery of water infrastructure projects, including new mains and connections, diversions, NAV installations, and bulk supplies. Reporting directly to the DX Operations Manager, this role is responsible for managing a team of Liaison Engineers and ensuring that all construction jobs passed to our delivery partners are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
In addition to delivery leadership, the New Mains Lead is the key point of contact for all NAV-related responsibilities, including,
- Managing and maintaining the NAV register.
- Coordinating internal and external communications.
- And ensuring stakeholders are informed of NAV activity across the business.
This role combines operational oversight, technical coaching, and strategic input — driving continuous improvement, upskilling the team, managing in-day jeopardy, and serving as an escalation point for customer or delivery issues. A strong focus on collaboration, compliance, and customer-first thinking is essential.
What you'll need:
- In-depth knowledge of water networks & supply systems or
equivalent. - APM-P, PRINCE2 certification or equivalent.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
- Experienced in leading health & safety initiatives in construction
environments and leading the delivery of RAMS. - Full UK Manual Driving Licence.

- Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 (dependent on skills and experience).
- Hours of work: 08:30am - 17:00pm (Mon - Thurs) 08:30am - 16:30pm (Fri)
