Street Works Manager

Affinity Water is the UKs largest water-only supplier, providing sustainable, high-quality water to 3.85million customers across the Southeast of England (covering parts of Bedfordshire; Buckinghamshire; Berkshire; Essex, Hertfordshire, Surrey, Essex, Kent & North London boroughs).
We have an opportunity for a Street Works Manager to be nsuring Affinity Water and our contractor supply chain performance is continuously of a high standard, making sure Affinity Water continues to lead the way when it comes to Street Works compliance and compliant with regulatory and legislative obligations.
The Role
You will be involved in developing a close working relationship with all Highway authorities, ensuring the company and its contractors adhere to all Street Works legislation.
• Provide first escalation point of contact for all Highway Authorities, particularly in matters of poor performance and process failure.
• Acts as Company representative in agreeing levels of Consequential damage repairs with the Highway authorities and our internal contractors.
• Review data, NRSWA S81, S58, CAT A, B & C, Reinstatement quality defects and reinstatement Coring programmes.
• Manage one’s own time, emotions and relationships with staff, customers, Highway authorities and internal contractors.
• Work on their own and be part of a small team.
• Monitoring company and contractor performance against streetworks legislation and take the appropriate action direct with our contractors, to ensure that outcomes and targets are met.
• Comprehend data from a wide variety of internal and external sources and situations considering the impact of external influences such as legislation, regulation, and the company’s image.
What you need
- Project Management skills, particularly for business improvement projects.
- The ability to motivate and coach contractors, Internal Staff, Field Staff, and reinstatement administration staff to achieve high quality performance by giving direct and timely feedback, whether good or bad. Ensure a positive Customer Experience achieved for all company Highway Authority concerns or complaints about poor Street Works or reinstatement.
- Compliance with all regulatory requirements, legal obligations, and operational procedures. Implement process to meet team achievements and provide feedback to enable improvements.
- Has a comprehensive understanding of all Street Works legislation, and coaches’ teams working in the public highway to ensure compliance?
- Has a comprehensive understanding of reinstatement process, materials, and techniques.
- Required to be qualified at Supervisory level under the NRSWA, Streetworks Qualifications register.
- Willing to travel to any part of the company’s area daily and at times at short notice.
- You will require a Full UK/Clean/Driving licence
