The Asset Management Capability Manager sits within the wider SAMI team within Asset Strategy and Capital Delivery function and is designed to support capability change across the business in asset management and asset information.

What you'll be doing?
- To support asset management capability improvement across the organisation in line with ISO 55001 through governance, culture, processes, technology and data/information.
- Monitor the development and rollout of key frameworks and tools, such as the Asset Health Framework, Asset Management Process Model, and Capability Maturity assessments.
- Support the journey towards ISO55001 accreditation and the continuous improvement of our asset management capabilities in line with regulator expectations and reporting.
- To develop and maintain annual internal audit schedule and actions to assess the directorate against ASCD processes.
- To oversee asset management training initiatives that strengthen asset management capabilities throughout the organisation.
- Support directorates in applying asset management principles, arranging and designing workshops, working with operational teams to translate frameworks into practical application.
- Support the development and review guidance documents, training materials, and tools to support consistent and effective delivery of asset management activities.
- Tracking and reporting of capability improvement progress, contributing to performance reporting and maturity assessment reviews.
- Inform and contribute to the development of our AMP business plan through engagement with and influence of regulatory bodies where appropriate.
What you need
- Institute of Asset Management Certificate
- Experience/knowledge of strategic investment planning in asset intensive organisations (e.g. value framework, line of sight, etc)
- Experience in asset intensive industry
- Knowledge of UK water sector and regulatory regime
- Experience working cross-directorate within large organisations
- Experience assessing and improving asset management capabilities across an organisation
