Senior Quality Officer -12 Month Fixed term contract

Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, you will be an integral part of the AQC team that ensures delivery of Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions of Scientific Services are carried out or supported in compliance with the requirements of ISO 17025 and Drinking Water Testing Specifications (DWTS) standards.
What you'll be doing
- Ensure all assigned quality and witness audits are fully completed following the schedule plan. Assist in auditing CSTs and Operational staff as and when required.
- Prepare, distribute and assess results of external and internal Proficiency Testing (PT) Scheme samples and feedback to stakeholders.
- Carry out, planned and regular data reviews of quality system to ensure all data meets the requirements of DWI for precision, bias and uncertainty of measurement.
- Inspect control charts, review control limits and continually monitor the performance against DWI assigned limits.
- Carry out statistical tests on precision and bias when DWI limits have been exceeded.
- Prepare, distribute and analyse results for check solutions for sampling team, operations and CSTs across the company.
- Assist in the preparation and close off evidence for UKAS.
- Prepare for and chair AQC/Departmental meetings.
