Economic Regulation Manager

Operating as a key player in the economic regulation team, you will provide analysis and advice on economic regulation to the Regulation and Strategy team, senior managers (Executive/Board) and across the business to protect the long-term interests of Affinity Water.
The Economic Regulation Manager will work as part of a small, expert team and will have responsibility for understanding the framework for economic regulation and the forward programme of regulatory reform and markets.
Reporting to and working closely with the Head of Economic Regulation, you will provide high quality advice, guidance and analysis.
You will proactively and collaboratively engage with colleagues in teams across the business, to ensure that Affinity Water responds effectively to regulatory requirements and shapes and influences developments in economic regulation.
You will be responsible for regulatory submissions, key aspects of price reviews and consultations.
What you need
- Degree level qualification preferably in economics, or related analytical discipline
- Ideally with experience in economic regulation within the water sector, other regulated utility, regulatory body or consultancy.
- Highly competent in analytical, conceptual and strategic thinking
- Able to communicate clearly and credibly both verbally and in writing to colleagues, including senior managers and non-specialist audiences.
