We’re looking for a commercially minded Cash Collections Manager to lead the design, implementation, and delivery of our collections contact strategies. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll make a real impact, minimising bad debt, maximising cash collection, and ensuring fair outcomes for customers.
You’ll be at the forefront of transforming our collections systems as we migrate from Tallyman to a new Collections platform working closely with stakeholders across Finance, IT, Customer Experience, Legal, and external partners. Your insight and leadership will help us embed a "right first time, on time" and continual improvement culture across the business.

The Role - Key Responsibilities
Design, develop and deliver strategies to recover retail debt across our customer base.
Maximise debt collection while balancing affordability and fair outcomes.
Drive innovation and operational improvements in cash collection and bad debt reduction.
Lead on the transformation and migration of debt collection systems.
Knowledge of data sharing with CRAs, and how different data can drive outcomes in the collection process.
Manage third-party suppliers including print vendors and data suppliers.
Ensure governance, controls, and write-off policies are effectively applied.
Leverage technology and data to improve efficiency, decision-making, and customer satisfaction.
About You
You’re a strong leader with a proven track record in cash collections and debt management—ideally within a regulated environment such as utilities or financial services. You combine operational expertise with strategic thinking, and you’re confident managing system transformations and complex stakeholder relationships.
Essential Skills & Experience
Leadership of cash collection and debt management within FCA-regulated or utility sectors.
Expertise in debt collection systems (ideally Tallyman) and billing systems
Experience of managing third-party suppliers across multiple categories.
Strong knowledge of data sharing with CRAs and its impact on collection outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to deliver system migrations and transformation programmes.
