We have an exciting opportunity for a Leakage Analyst to join our Leakage Data Team based from our Luton office. This is an opportunity for you to apply your analytical skills to complex and meaningful work. Leakage reductions is a fundamental part of Affinity Waters overall strategy and this role is integral to providing the analytical information that drives our strategic goals.
In this role, you will work alongside our other analysts with the responsibility of analysing and interpreting leakage performance data and verifying the quality of data in our leakage management software. The role is vital to enable the efficient detection and reduction of leakage, and you will be responsible for driving improvements in our methodologies to ensure we keep moving towards best practice.
What you'll be doing:
Responsible for identifying erroneous data, determining root causes, defining the resolution action, raising tasks for maintenance technicians to resolve where appropriate, monitor and progress the resolution of tasks.
Identify daily movements in District Meter Areas that may indicate burst pipes. Liaise with Leakage Control Manager to ensure investigation is carried out.
Raise leakage campaign forms for leakage control technicians upon request within 24 hours.
Track the progression of the campaigns, follow up with Leakage Control Managers if jobs exceed 60 days and close completed campaigns on the job tracker within 24 hours of the forms being returns.
Assess leak repair volumes on a weekly basis.
Conduct periodic reviews of long-term leakage trends in DMAs to work with Leakage Control Managers on defining intervention.
Assist in ensuring the leakage calculation components within our leakage management system are maintained and analysed to ensure high data availability for reporting.
Assist in determining intervention type success rates.
Support of other leakage data-based improvement projects
Maintaining and updating internal documentation such as guidance notes and procedures.
Assist with the production of Leakage reports.
What you need
Proficient Microsoft Excel user with excellent numerical, data manipulation and analytical skills to process large datasets and extract meaningful data insights
Ability to work under pressure and to conflicting deadlines whilst maintain attention to detail and a high level of standards
Ability to meticulously follow standard operating procedures to ensure consistent results.
Proactive in identifying discrepancies or inconsistencies in data with the desire to investigate cause.
Possess operational or analytical experience that demonstrates your capability in this area.
Willingness to learn and develop skills through in-house training, coaching and attendance at third-party training where required.
