Assistant Company Secretary

We are looking for an Assistant Company Secretary, who will support the Deputy Company Secretary and General Counsel in delivering high-quality governance and company secretarial support across the business. Acting as a key member of a small, collaborative team, you’ll help to ensure the smooth operation of board and committee activity, oversee statutory and regulatory compliance, and help drive continuous improvement in our corporate governance frameworks.
You’ll also support our network of group subsidiaries, regulatory disclosures, and ad hoc governance projects, gaining broad exposure across directorates.
What you’ll be doing:
Supporting Board and Committee meetings, including agendas, paper review, and minutes
Ensuring compliance with UK Corporate Governance Code, Ofwat’s BLTG principles and licence requirements
Managing statutory filings and all group subsidiary governance
Supporting the Annual Report preparation and disclosures
Assisting with AGMs and regulatory announcements
Contributing to ad hoc special governance projects and continuous improvement
About you:
5+ years’ company secretarial experience in a PLC or regulated environment
Strong working knowledge of UK Company Law and UK Code
CGI qualified (or part-qualified / equivalent)
Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
Confident working with executive stakeholders
Proactive, hands-on, and able to manage multiple priorities
