At Affinity Water, our People and Culture team supports a large, fast-paced operational environment where strong HR partnership is key to delivering great outcomes for our customers and colleagues.
We’re looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join our Customer Experience (CX) Directorate on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is a busy, high-volume role acting as the main point of contact across a number of departments including our Contact Centre, Wholesale Development, Marketing & Communications, Processing & Complaints and Cash Collection & Management.
You’ll support managers and employees with a wide range of HR matters, helping to ensure fair, consistent, and policy-compliant decision making in a demanding and fast-moving environment.
What you’ll be doing:
Acting as the first point of contact for HR queries across a large, busy directorate
Providing advice on performance, absence, employee relations, and HR policies
Managing HR casework and escalating complex issues where appropriate
Supporting sickness absence, capability, and performance processes
Coaching managers to handle people issues confidently and effectively
Supporting HR reporting, payroll deadlines, and wider HR initiatives
Building strong relationships quickly across multiple teams
Promoting a fair, consistent, high-performance culture
What we’re looking for:
Experience in an HR Advisor or similar role with strong employment law knowledge
Ability to manage a high-volume, fast-paced workload with competing priorities
Confident in triaging requests, prioritising, and pushing back when needed
Strong relationship-building and communication skills
Experience in employee relations, absence, and performance management
CIPD Level 5 (desirable)
Experience with HR systems such as Oracle (desirable)
