Operational Leakage Analyst

We are looking for a motivated and analytical individual to join us in our leakage team as an Operational Leakage Analyst.
The role:
This is a varied and rewarding role within our Customer Delivery Directorate, providing vital support to our field-based operational teams and helping to drive the delivery of our leakage reduction targets.
This role requires someone who can confidently analyse and report on operational performance data, maintain accurate reporting tools, and work collaboratively with a range of internal stakeholders. You will use data from multiple systems to provide insights into the productivity and performance of our logging fleet, technicians, trunk main detection teams, and step testing programme, supporting informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working independently. They will have strong analytical and communication skills, experience working with data and reporting tools, and the ability to build effective working relationships across the business.
What you'll be doing:
Produce, maintain, and analyse Excel and Power BI reports to support operational performance and decision-making.
Use mapping, telemetry, and work management systems to monitor activities and create operational reports.
Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.
Support the delivery of leakage reduction targets by providing accurate data and performance information.
Coordinate network corrections and repair activities with operational teams and other departments.
Organise and oversee equipment trials and liaise with suppliers to resolve equipment issues.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and operational efficiency.
Manage day-to-day priorities independently, escalating issues where appropriate.
What you'll need:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to capture, interpret, and report on complex data.
Experience using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Confidence using mobile technology and IT systems.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while managing tasks independently.
What Will Make You Stand Out:
Experience using Power BI, GIS, mapping, or telemetry systems.
Experience in data analysis and reporting.
Understanding of acoustic logging equipment and leakage detection activities.
Previous experience within the water industry.
