Affinity Water is looking for a Liaison Engineer (Assistant Project Manager) to join our Self-Lay Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career within the water industry, working alongside experienced engineers and project professionals while gaining hands-on experience managing infrastructure projects from design through to completion.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Liaison Engineer, you'll learn how to deliver an exceptional customer journey while supporting the delivery of new water network projects across our region. You'll work closely with customers, developers, self-lay providers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
You'll gain experience in:
Supporting the delivery of water infrastructure and development projects
Building strong relationships with customers and industry partners
Attending sites and providing on-the-ground project support
Participating in pre-start meetings, site audits, and project inspections
Monitoring project progress, quality standards, and health & safety compliance
Learning project management and customer management skills from experienced colleagues
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the team
What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements
Full UK Driving Licence
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
A commitment to safety, quality, and customer service
A positive attitude and eagerness to learn and develop
Desirable
Knowledge of water networks or utility infrastructure
Understanding of CDM Regulations
Experience working with multiple stakeholders or project delivery environments
