Affinity Water is looking for a Liaison Engineer (Assistant Project Manager) to join our Self-Lay Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career within the water industry, working alongside experienced engineers and project professionals while gaining hands-on experience managing infrastructure projects from design through to completion.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Liaison Engineer, you'll learn how to deliver an exceptional customer journey while supporting the delivery of new water network projects across our region. You'll work closely with customers, developers, self-lay providers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

You'll gain experience in:

• Supporting the delivery of water infrastructure and development projects

• Building strong relationships with customers and industry partners

• Attending sites and providing on-the-ground project support

• Participating in pre-start meetings, site audits, and project inspections

• Monitoring project progress, quality standards, and health & safety compliance

• Learning project management and customer management skills from experienced colleagues

• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the team

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

• Full UK Driving Licence

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities

• A commitment to safety, quality, and customer service

• A positive attitude and eagerness to learn and develop

Desirable

• Knowledge of water networks or utility infrastructure

• Understanding of CDM Regulations

• Experience working with multiple stakeholders or project delivery environments
