Affinity Water have a new job opportunity available as an Asset Specialist - Integrated Catchment Lead on a 12 Month FTC.
The Role:
As an Asset Specialist - Integrated Catchment Lead you will support our WINEP Strategy and Delivery Manager on the development of the strategy, delivery plan and associated monitoring programme for our AMP8 (2025-2030) environmental programme.
This role will facilitate the delivery of the programme, providing support to our Water Industry National Environment Programme (WINEP) delivery teams (catchment management, biodiversity and river restoration) throughout the programme. Alongside this, the role will also develop, support and facilitate the partnership and engagement strategy, as well as providing support to our Water Resources and Environment and Capital Delivery (river restoration) departments.
What you'll be doing:
- Support our WINEP delivery teams to meet the requirements of our AMP8 environmental programme.
- Support management of our relationships with key stakeholders including the Environment Agency, CaBA catchment partnerships, Environmental NGO’s, river groups, Natural England, landowners and more.
- Track and report on progress against delivery of the WINEP through the Delivery Monitoring Framework.
- Represent Affinity Water in a range of external meetings including catchment partnerships, river group meetings, regulatory liaison meetings.
- Speak publicly at a range of events promoting Affinity Water’s environment programme
- Gather evidence to support effective delivery and sign off of our programme including tracking of agreed milestones and deliverables across the programme.
What you'll need:
- Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline. 6+ years of experience in a relevant environmental discipline.
- Experienced in influencing and managing relationships (and managing stakeholder engagement).
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to summarise technical information and effectively support briefing of senior leaders to support decision making.
- Experienced in strategic planning, strategic management, and stakeholder management.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office Packages.
- UK Driving Licence.

- Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 (salary dependant on skills and experience)
- Hours: 08:30am - 17:00pm (Mon - Thurs) 08:30am - 16:30pm (Friday)
