We’re launching an ambitious two-year programme to enhance our performance reporting, visualisation, and insight capabilities at scale and pace. As a Data Quality Analyst, you will join an established Data Strategy and Operations team to design, implement, and manage our data quality and data governance strategy.

What You'll Do
Collaborate with data specialists to design and build a robust data quality reporting framework.
Conduct detailed analyses to identify data quality defects, trends, and patterns, recommending impactful improvements.
Engage with diverse stakeholders to deepen understanding of data use and trustworthiness across the business.
Perform risk assessments of key data assets and processes, prioritising remediation activities.
Support and deliver training initiatives to raise awareness of data quality standards and best practices.
Manage and optimise data quality tools, ensuring seamless integration with our IT systems and data architecture.
Facilitate the development and enforcement of data quality standards and reporting frameworks, providing assurance on data reliability.
Work agilely, triaging data quality issues and prioritising based on business impact and value.
Actively contribute to the wider data community across the organisation, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in data quality or data management roles, ideally within utilities or the UK water industry.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements relating to data in the water sector is highly desirable.
Strong grasp of complex business and operational processes, with the ability to translate these into clear data quality metrics and stewardship solutions.
Experience implementing data quality frameworks such as DCAM or DAMA.
Proficient in SQL and capable of applying data analysis techniques practically.
Skilled in building data quality reports using Business Intelligence tools, preferably QlikSense.
Good knowledge of data governance frameworks, data management tools, and data protection legislation (e.g., GDPR).
Experience working within Agile teams and leading initiatives using Agile methodologies.
Practical experience with data catalogue and quality toolkits to maximise business value.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative and “get-it-done” attitude.
Ability to organise, prioritise, and work independently while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
Naturally inquisitive mindset with strong problem-solving skills to investigate and resolve data issues.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable initiatives for broad enterprise adoption.
- Salary £40,000 - £47,000 per annum dependant on experience
- Hybrid role, with the expectations of a minimum two days a week in the office in Hatfield
- Annual leave from 26 days rising with length of service, and the option to purchase up to 5 extra days.
