Commercial Manager - Scientific Services

Affinity Water are looking for a highly-skilled, enthusiastic, confident and motivated Commercial Manager to develop and grow our Commercial team that currently has a turnover of around £1m per annum.
The Role:
As a Commercial Manager, you will be reporting to the Head of Water Quality & Scientific Services. You will be the client manager for existing customers and will be working towards identifying and delivering new business opportunities.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading the Commercial team of Team Leaders, Samplers and Water Hygiene Technicians.
- Be the client manager for the existing legionella, water hygiene and water treatment customers of the Commercial team.
• Identify and deliver new legionella, water hygiene and water treatment business opportunities for the Commercial team.
• Lead on maintaining Legionella Control Association (LCA) accreditation and LCA audits.
• Devising sales strategies and executing.
• Meeting with clients to scope for required services, whilst providing detailed technical advice.
• Producing competitive and comprehensive sales tenders and presenting to clients.
• Conducting regular income progress meetings with Head of Water Quality & Scientific Services.
• Producing monthly income performance reports.
• Maintaining and fostering strong relationships with clients.
• Ensuring Scientific Services compliance with all health and safety procedures and monitoring performance against set targets.
What you need
- A scientific qualification or water industry experience.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of ACOP L8.
- Knowledge of current drinking water quality regulation and legislation.
- A high level of competency operating standard Microsoft programmes, ZetaSafe, water quality IT systems, health and safety IT systems and GIS.

- Salary: £56,000 - £61,000 (salary dependant on skills and experience)
- Hours: 08:30am - 17:00pm (Mon - Thurs) 08:30am - 16:30pm (Fri)
