We have a fantastic opportunity for a Systems Technician to join the Operational Technology team at Affinity Water.
The Role:
As Systems Technician, you will be supporting our Operational Technology Team with Telemetry and Datalink systems. You will be working as a part of a team that maintains and develops operational technology systems and data that support our Customer Experience and Technology, Customer Delivery and Asset Strategy activities.
**As part of this role, you will be trained to be a Systems Engineer within 5- 6 years**
What you'll be doing:
- Maintenance of the telemetry and data-link systems, including field based telemetry outstations, data-link and associated communications infrastructure.
- Installation of telemetry and data-link hardware including associated communications infrastructure to company standards.
- Support telemetry users, providing guidance and support to enable colleagues best use of the systems.
- Work proactively with PLC teams and telemetry users to ensure OT systems to ensure system configuration is implemented to standards.
- Work with suppliers of services and hardware as necessary for the installation, maintenance and support of the systems and associated communications infrastructure.
What you need:
- Electrical engineering qualification.
- Experience of telemetry systems.
- Experience of control systems.
- Experience with software configuration or programming a range of devices.
- Comfortable in participating in 24 hour stand-by rotation (1 in 4 weeks).
- Experience within the Water Industry (not an essential).
- Full/UK/Clean driving licence

- Salary: £35,738.
- Flex Allowance: £4,349
- Stand by: 1 in 4 = £8,542 (separate payment on top of salary once training and probation has passed)
Total Package = £48,629
- Hours of work: 08:00am - 16:00pm (Mon - Thurs) 08:00am - 15:30pm (Friday)
