Management Accountant

Affinity Water is looking for an ambitious and bright Management Accountant to join our FP&A and Business Partnering team. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop their career, become a fully qualified accountant, and progress towards a Finance Business Partner role.
You will be hands-on with month-end journals, cost accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations, delivering accurate reporting and insightful analysis to support our business. You will work closely with Finance Business Partners and Cost Centre Managers to help influence decision-making and drive operational and financial performance.
The Role
Lead month-end close activities including journals, accruals, and reconciliations
Investigate discrepancies and provide clear insight to Finance Business Partners
Produce accurate, timely, and user-friendly financial reports and commentaries
Support annual budgeting and regular forecasting processes
Streamline and improve processes to make reporting and analysis more efficient
Work on ad-hoc tasks and projects to support the FP&A team
About You
Essential:
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Confident working with incomplete or complex data to identify trends
Proactive approach to improving processes
Desirable:
Studying towards, or willing to study for, CIMA or ACCA
Advanced Excel skills, including XLOOKUP and complex formulas

Benefits:
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (dependant on skills and experience)
Hours: Mon - Thursday (08.30am - 17.00pm) and Friday (08.30am - 16.30pm)
