Affinity Water has a fantastic opportunity available to work within Asset Strategy.
The role:
As an Asset Specialist in Drought Planning you will have overall responsibility for the development and implementation and operation of Affinity Water's drought management plan. You will also be contributing to our asset protection and land disposal reviews, safeguarding the future needs of the business.
Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities associated with this role are predominantly associated with the delivery of the new drought plan, in line with statutory requirements and regulator expectations.
Keep abreast of drought planning guidance issued from Defra and Environment Agency, providing briefings on changes in guidance, regulations and statute relating to drought planning.
Develop and deliver a robust programme for the company Drought Management plan in line with Regulator Directions, Guidance and timelines.
Work with Asset Strategy & Capital Delivery and Customer Delivery colleagues to ensure develop all Drought Permit application readiness documents.
Work with the Senior Asset Manager to represent the business at National Drought Group, WRSE regional drought groups, WaterUK Drought and other sub groups which we are a member of.
Manage any active drought management activities for the company if the need should arise
Manage Asset Strategy land disposal review process
Essential Qualifications and experience required:
Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline.
5 + years of water industry experience.
Ability to summarise technical information and effectively support briefing of senior leaders in decision making.
