Acoustic Logging Technician

Acoustic Logging is an important part of our Active Leakage Control activity, helping us to continuously reduce leakage levels and quickly respond to leak alarms when leaks break out.
We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Trainee Acoustic Logging Technicians to join our team in monitoring and managing water network acoustics. This entry-level role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in environmental technology while developing essential technical skills. With full training provided, you’ll be part of a team dedicated to ensuring the efficiency and safety of our water network.
What you'll be doing:
- Work outdoors across various locations to locate water main fittings and conduct acoustic logging.
- Use electronic leak detection equipment to take noise samples from the water network.
- Accurately document activities following companies reporting process
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols, including the safe handling of equipment and heavy items like manhole covers.
- Maintain KPI’s ( H&S reporting requirements, training and deployment/ collection of loggers minimum of 80 per day)
- Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions, day or night.
- Possess basic proficiency in maths and English.
- Have basic IT skills, including familiarity with digital recording and documentation.
- Be willing to work flexible hours, including nights as required.
- Be comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Be physically capable of working in an environment that requires lifting and moving equipment daily adhering to manual handling techniques. Training will be provided.
- Hold a full UK driving licence
