HR Assistant - Fixed Term Contract

Affinity Water have a new opportunity available for a pro-active and process driven HR Assistant to join the People Queries Team to cover a period of parental leave.
The Role:
This is a fast paced role where you will be responsible for responding to a broad range of HR queries that come into the People Queries inbox and you will act as the first line of response.
You will work closely with the People & Culture Directorate and the wider business to successfully manage the many processes that are involved in an employee lifecycle from onboarding, payroll, changes to job title, position and line manager changes.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing the shared inbox to act as a first line response to employee queries and questions working with a designated HR Advisor and HR Business Partner to provide excellent service to departments.
- Ensure all payroll actions are completed within the relevant deadlines· Ensuring a smooth onboarding process from the point of paperwork being completed up to day one of employment.
- Updating internal databases and HR Information System (Oracle Fusion) to maintain accurate data during the employee life cycle.
- Respond to employee and line manager queries regarding HR-related issues.
- Ensure compliance checks are met for all new employees.
What you'll need:
- Previous experience of working in an HR function.
- Ability to really manage and prioritise numerous tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to follow processes and be able to multi-task.
- Oracle Fusion systems experience.
- Ability to prioritise and work as part of a team.
**This role is a FTC or secondment opportunity (with a potential to go permanent) and therefore offers a development opportunity for those who are interested in pursuing a career in HR or want to gain experience in a different department.**

- Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 (salary dependant on skills and experience)
- Hours: 08:30am - 17:00pm (Mon - Thurs) 08:30am - 16:30pm (Friday)
